DOG PARK SUBCOMMITTEE

PRESENT:
Parks & Recreation Commission Staff: RoseAnn Reggiano
Subcommittee Members: Kaia Fahrenholz, Monica Roberto, Catty Garcia, Kathryn Simonds, Cat Fedorcheck, Benay Yaffe.
- April Dinner Party: 45 guests attended. $2,420 raised, with $200 more anticipated coming in from Silent Auction.
- Strut Your Mutt
- Location: Fairfield Hills. Start at Shelton House. Walk 1 mile.Start time: 10:30am.
- Events: Walk, contest, demonstration from K9 dog
- Prizes: Subcommittee soliciting prizes from local businesses. T-shirts to be given to first 50 registrants.
- Fundraising goal: $2,500
- Event Promotion: Online registration through PRC website and downloadable PDF file on NPB website; posters throughout town; press releases to Newtown Bee and News Times; Public Service Announcements going out to 15 radio stations; yard signs being made
- Volunteers staffing: Dog Park Subcommittee will work the event, and proposal of volunteer needs to Girl Scout Troop leader Fedorcheck to be sent by Simonds/Reggiano.
